Frank awoke from his foggy dream to find himself in his grungy apartment. Looking over to the clock he saw that it was almost noon.
"Seems to be about breakfast time." He thought to himself, as he threw on a pair of torn black skinny jeans. He shuffled out of his apartment and started on his way to a small doughnut shop nearby; although it had been there forever he had never tried it.
"Well I guess there's a first time for everything." He mumbled quietly to himself as he entered the nearly deserted shop. He seated himself by a small window in the back of the shop, waiting for the lone waiter to come and take his order. Soon enough the waiter came by and asked what Frank wanted. Staring, dumbfounded, he forgot his order and slightly dropped his jaw.
"Um, Sir?" The waiter asked. By now Frank had noticed both his awkwardness and the man's name tag, the stunningly beautiful man standing in front of him was named Gerard.
"Erm, yeah, I'd like, um, a glazed doughnut and a small coffee please." Frank stuttered. Gerard wrote his order down then walked away. Frank kept thinking about the waiter, his brilliant hazel eyes, his messy black hair that was all over the place, and best of all his perfect pink lips. He realized that he knew absolutely nothing about this man, yet somehow he was unbearably attracted to him.
"Here's your order." Gerard said, springing Frank out of his thoughts and back into the real world.
"Thanks," Frank replied "I know this is a bit forward, but, eh, I was wondering if you might want to, y'know, go out with me sometime?" He asked, surprising himself, he didn't even know if Gerard was gay.
Luckily Gerard in fact was gay. "Sure, um, when's good for you?" he said. Gerard was truly excited about this future date, he had thought that Frank was beautiful from the moment he had laid eyes on him, but he was much too shy to say anything to him.
"How about, uh, Saturday, around eight?" Frank asked "Oh and my name's Frank, by the way. Frank Iero." He stood up to shake Gerard's hand.
"Ah, I'm Gerard Way." He replied, taking Frank's hand in his own. "How does a movie sound?" He asked Frank.
"Sure, I've been meaning to see the new Spiderman movie, if that's cool with you." Frank replied.
"Yeah, I love Spiderman!" Gerard almost squeaked. Embarrassed he looked to his toes, as a red blush adorned his cheeks.
"Cool," Frank giggled "I guess I'll see you at the theatre around eight, then." He smiled up at Gerard and put down his money on the bill, leaving an overly generous tip.
"Bye Frank." Gerard said, sad that the man was leaving, yet super excited for his date.
"Later." He said, as he happily walked out of the little doughnut shop.
also theank you so much for the watch!!!
My only criticism (if you can call it that) is make sure you use commas instead of periods/full stops at the end of speech and lower case the 'he/she's after, makes it smoother to read. And thoughts should be either in '...' or italics < i> and < /i> (without spaces) so it doesn't confuse readers into thinking they're speaking. C:
